IELTS is accepted in all English-speaking countries and has two test types. Academic type is built for Study purposes. General Training is meant for work or Immigration purposes. Although the content is different the breakdown for the test is the same.

The test has four modules:

1. Listening – 40 Questions – Approximately 30 minutes (plus 10 minutes’ transfer time)
2. Reading – 40 Questions – 60 minutes.
3. Writing – 2 tasks – 60 minutes
4. Speaking – 3 parts – 11–14 minutes (Usually scheduled separately, often on a different day)
